Your child may not need a visa at all
This is the route families most often miss. A child born in the UK is not automatically British — but if a parent held settled status at the time of birth, that child was British from birth and simply needs a passport. Hannes Immigration can do it for you as well.
If neither parent was settled at the time, the child may still have a right to register later: once a parent settles, or once the child has lived in the UK for the first ten years of their life. Registration is permanent and cannot be taken away, which a visa can.
Why it matters more than it looks
Families routinely apply for and renew dependant visas for a child who already qualifies to register as British. That is years of Home Office fees, and a status that has to keep being renewed, for something that could have been settled once.
